Making a Difference in the Community... One Pint at a Time

New York Beer Project owners, Kelly and Kevin Krupski, began the #MakeADifference Initiative as part of their desire to be business owners engaged in their community. The goal has always been to help Craft Beer drinkers #MakeADifference, one pint a time. When NYBP began a collaboration with WNY-based Perry's Ice Cream, making iconic ice-cream inspired ales like Superhero Sour and White Christmas Belgian Blonde, the Krupskis decided this "Mash-Up" series was perfect for this initiative.

The partnership officially began back in 2017 with the creation of Panda Paws Porter.  NYBP pledged to donate $1 from each pint sold at NYBP’s original Lockport location to Oishei Children’s Hospital in Buffalo, NY. The original goal was a $10,000 donation by the following Memorial Day- a goal which was quickly met in March of 2018. The partnership with Oishei Children's Hospital has continued ever since, growing every year. So far, over $50,000 has been raised for the hospital, and the donation was able to complete a Room With Care in the NICU at Oishei. 

When NYBP Victor opened in 2019, the Krupskis wanted to continue to donate $1 from the Perrys'-inspired beers to an organization local to the Victor Beer Hall. The obvious choice was to partner with a neighboring organization that was near and dear to the Krupskis: Camp Good Days and Special Times. Camp Good Days strives to improve the quality of life for families affected by cancer through residential camping programs and year-round recreational and support activities. 

At NYBP Orlando, NYBP has partnered with another amazing organization- Give Kids the World. Give Kids The World Village is a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida that provides critically ill children and their families with week-long wish vacations at no cost. 

With $1 per pint of Panda Paws Porter, White Christmas Belgian Blonde, and Superhero Sour, NYBP has raised over $70,000 for these three incredible organizations, and looks forward to continuing these partnerships and #MakeADifference in years to come.  New York Beer Project is truly honored to help out these foundations that inspire and change lives every day, and thanks all the NYBP patrons who, pint by pint, helped make a difference in the community.
